Don at Old Virginia Woodworking did an EXCELLENT job stripping layers of paint from our 100+year old doors and refinishing them back into their natural, orignial look. He was extremely professional and communicative throughout the process and I cannot recommend him high enough. He is a true craftsman of the woodworking trade and I assure you after visiting his shop, he can undertake any woordworking job one might have!! If you need something built from scratch or refinished to a brand new appearance, Old Virginia Woodworking is the place to go!! Thanks again Don!!

Don repaired and refinished a 65-year-old dining table that had chips, cuts, and uneven finish. I can now display the table in my home without a tablecloth covering it! Don was also easy to work with and contact. There were no unexpected additional costs or delays. Thank you, Don!

My antiques were SHATTERED in a recent move. The china cabinet couldn't even "stand." (It had to be placed upside down. So, not only were my antiques unusable, I thought their value was gone. HOWEVER, within a short period of time, understanding, and EXPERTISE my antiques are now home. You cannot even tell anything was ever wrong with them! I HIGHLY recommend OLD VIRGINIA WOODWORKING. Five stars is not enough. I give them 100 stars or even more. Thank you, OLD VIRGINIA WOODWORKING. I cried when I saw their work (and hugged the woodworker). P.S. NEVER use Nationwide Movers or Jackson Movers.

Don gave me a fair estimate for repairing an antique Head and Foot Board. He repaired the items and there like new. He required half down and finished the project in record time. I'm very pleased with his work and highly recommend his business for ant wood repair or refinishing.

It’s a hike to get to Don’s shop, but the work he does is worth the effort. We had a bedside cabinet that I had ruined with a leaky CPAP machine and a gate leg table that lost a gate. Don and his apprentices repaired both to better than new condition. If you have fine, real wood furniture, Don is your man. The pricing seems a bit high…until you see the results. Then you realize the cost is almost a bargain!

Wanted to share my wonderful blessing with everyone. My 90-yr old Mom was thrilled with the color and workmanship of the transformation done to her 40-yr old captains chairs for her kitchen set. She is so very pleased and wants everyone to know what a professional job Mr. Don does.
